Brazilian Surge in the Monster Stack

The Monster Stack tournament, known for its deep stacks and extended play, attracted 2,896 entries on Day 1C. As play concluded in the 10th level, 1,002 players remained, with ten of them proudly representing Brazil. Other notable Brazilian players who made it through Day 1C include Felipe Katu (129,300), Bruno Albuquerque (122,500), Paulo Gini (100,000), João Simão (100,000), Gustavo Machado (95,000), Teddy Tavares (84,500), and André Luchi (42,000). Day 2 Progression and Tournament Structure

Day 2C of the Monster Stack tournament will see all 1,002 qualified players return to the tables, continuing their pursuit of a WSOP bracelet and a substantial prize pool. A key development for Day 2C is that the tournament will enter the money, meaning players will be competing for cash prizes as well as survival. Late registration will also remain open during Day 2C, offering a final opportunity for players to enter the event. Play is set to resume with blinds at 1,000/2,500.

The $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better event (Event #21) also featured Brazilian players, with Raphael Nogueira and Leandro Pacheco ("Brasa") among the 173 players advancing to Day 2 from a field of 1,093 entries. The bubble for this event was close, with 164 players set to receive a minimum payout of $3,033.
