The 57th World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event continues with 62 players remaining, and a strong contingent of German-speaking players is still in contention for the coveted bracelet. Leading the charge are seasoned players Hossein Ensan and Giuseppe Pantaleo, who have navigated through Day 6 of the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em World Championship.

As the tournament progresses, the stakes are higher than ever, with all remaining players guaranteed at least $150,000 in prize money. The ultimate goal, however, is the seven-figure sum awaiting the victor at the final table.

WSOP Main Event Day 6 Recap

Day 6 saw the field shrink from 174 players down to the final 62. Among the eight German-speaking hopefuls who began the day, four were eliminated. These included Nicola Karl (153rd, $65,000), Sebastian Isselhard (143rd, $65,000), Martin Gerloff (129th, $65,000), and Felix Kürmayr (69th, $125,000).

Despite these eliminations, the German-speaking representation remains robust. Hossein Ensan, a bracelet winner, is in a strong position with 17,750,000 chips, placing him 5th in the standings. Giuseppe Pantaleo, another bracelet winner, is close behind with 14,450,000 chips, holding the 14th spot. Tolga Karakaya (5,750,000 chips, 38th) and Hendrik Terner (3,025,000 chips, 52nd) round out the four German-speaking players advancing to Day 7.

Notable International Players Still in the Mix

The field also includes several prominent international poker stars, adding to the excitement. Among them are Todd Brunson, Romain Lewis, Patrick Leonard, Brock Wilson, and the highly respected Shaun Deeb. Their presence ensures a competitive and unpredictable battle for the world championship title.

The current chip leader heading into Day 7 is American player Tyler Gaston, who amassed 21 million chips by the end of Day 6.

The WSOP Main Event, held annually at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, began with an impressive field of 9,208 entries across all starting flights.
