German Championship of Poker Continues at King’s Resort

The second starting flights for the German Championship of Poker (GCOP) Main Event and the 1 Million Crown Series have concluded at King's Resort Rozvadov and King's Casino Prague, with players advancing to Day 2.

The German Championship of Poker (GCOP) Main Event and the 1 Million Crown Series are underway at King’s Resort in Rozvadov and King’s Casino Prague, respectively. Yesterday marked the conclusion of the second starting flights for both tournaments, with players battling for a chance to advance to Day 2.

GCOP Main Event Sees Day 1b Action

In Rozvadov, the second starting flight of the €200 GCOP Main Event attracted 25 players. With three re-entries, the total number of entries for Flight 1b reached 28. Combined with the entries from the first starting flight, the tournament has accumulated a total of 66 entries so far.

Three players successfully navigated Flight 1b to secure their spots in Day 2. Sebastian Wise from Poland emerged as the best performer of the day, bagging 718,000 chips. The overall chip leader heading into Day 2 remains Cedric Claude Nicolas Salenc from France, who accumulated 818,000 chips during the first starting flight.

Among the qualifiers from Flight 1b were notable players like “Chupacabra” from Germany, who finished with 460,000 chips, and “1Shot” from Israel, ending the day with 222,000 chips. The GCOP action continues today with the third starting flight (1c) scheduled to begin at 18:00. A €35 Satellite tournament at 15:00 offers a more affordable route into the main event.

1 Million Crown Series Advances

Meanwhile, at King’s Casino Prague, the second flight (1b) of the €80 1 Million Crown Series tournament also took place. This event saw 29 players at the tables, resulting in a total of 35 entries after six re-entries. The tournament has now gathered 84 entries across its two starting flights.

Four players from Flight 1b have advanced to the final day. Richard Ruma from the Czech Republic finished as the chip leader for this flight, securing 573,000 chips. Jung Woo Kim from Korea followed in second place with 214,000 chips.
