Fábio Murakami Arrives at P2W Palmas, Eyes Circuito Tocantinense Trophy

The new P2W Palmas poker room turned its opening week into a meeting point for players from Tocantins, Goiás, Pará and the Federal District, and one of the invited names was São Paulo’s Fábio Murakami. According to Mundo Poker, the São Paulo regular landed in Palmas on Wednesday night and went straight to the tables: first for a short Turbo 50 cameo, then for the High Roller at the Circuito Tocantinense de Poker.

Murakami’s early review of the room was positive. “The house is beautiful, and the organization is excellent,” he said. “I’m going to play the High Roller now. The tournament has already started and at this moment has 25 players.” He also sent a message to the local poker community: “The people of Tocantins received a space like this as a gift, and I hope it becomes a great meeting point for the poker community. From the airport to the tables

Murakami arrived with little time to settle in. According to the report, he asked for his buy-in to be placed in the previous night’s Turbo 50 while he was still on the plane. Once at the casino, his participation lasted about five minutes.

“I was still in the plane cabin when I sent word to separate the chips to play,” he said. “I arrived, still had a few chips, played about five minutes as a special participation and ended up falling quickly. High Roller details

Murakami also shared his early impressions of the capital of Tocantins. He noticed that the city’s layout feels spread out, but he was struck by the absence of heavy traffic.

“Everything looks very distant, one thing far from another, but there is no traffic, right? Many roundabouts and very wide streets, so I believe that helps a lot to avoid congestion,” he said. He had not yet had time to explore much of the city, but mentioned a visit to a churrascaria in Portal do Sul and said he had heard about a local beach that he wanted to see at a slower pace.

Trophy hunt and bigger goals

Murakami is known on the Brazilian circuit for collecting titles, and he made his objective clear for the stage in Palmas. “The goal is to arrive strong, look for a little trophy and do well in this stage,” he said. “And if a bigger stage comes, like one of R$1 million, just call and we’re in!”

That quote fits his reputation as a player who regularly appears in São Paulo poker rooms and travels for state circuit events. His presence also adds visibility to the new P2W Palmas location during its opening week.
