Brazilian Contingent Advances in WSOP Millionaire Maker
Five Brazilian players, led by Rafael Reis, have successfully navigated Day 1A of the US$1,500 Millionaire Maker event at the World Series of Poker, securing their spots for Day 2.

A strong contingent of Brazilian poker players has made it through to the next stage of the US$1,500 Millionaire Maker tournament at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. Day 1A of the event, which saw a significant turnout of 1,752 entries, concluded with 460 players advancing, including five Brazilians.
Rafael Reis Leads Brazilian Charge
Rafael Reis emerged as the chip leader among the Brazilian contingent, accumulating an impressive stack of 190,000 chips. This substantial stack provides him with nearly 100 big blinds heading into Day 2A, positioning him well for continued success in the tournament.
Other Brazilians Secure Day 2 Berths
Joining Reis on Day 2A are Walter Ripper, who is making his WSOP debut and bagged 108,000 chips, and Breno Drumond, who finished with exactly 100,000 chips. Marcos Alves also advanced with 81,000 chips, and Fábio Porcino rounded out the Brazilian qualifiers from Day 1A with 61,500 chips.
The advancing players are set to return for Day 2A, which is scheduled to commence on Thursday at 11 AM local time (3 PM Brazil time). Blinds will resume at 1,000/2,000. While the tournament is not yet in the money, 263 players will be awarded prizes on Day 2. Importantly, players who are eliminated on Day 2 still have the opportunity to re-enter and play another Day 1.
