The Arena Live Poker festival, held at Shopping Estação in central Curitiba, Brazil, has drawn a national field of players during October 2026, with organizers reporting results that significantly exceeded initial projections. The event, run by the Live Poker club, has seen participation from multiple Brazilian states and generated strong early numbers in guaranteed prize pools.

Club partner João Batista told Mundo Poker during the tournament’s Thursday session that the festival’s performance has been a clear success. “Everything has been a success! People from Paraná, from various places in Brazil… Live is a success every day. Our team is very competent,” Batista said. He noted that Live Poker has been operating for just over a year and expressed confidence that within two years the venue will be at capacity.

The tournament has attracted players from Paraná state as well as other regions of Brazil, reflecting the event’s expanding reputation. Batista emphasized that Curitiba serves as one of the key poker hubs in the country. “Curitiba is one of the great birthplaces of national poker. Each stage is different, a lot changes, but we are always trying to improve,” he said.

The field size and guaranteed prize pools have been met or exceeded during the early days of the festival, according to the organizer’s statements. The event’s structure and atmosphere have been cited as factors in its growing draw.

Premium experience and club growth

Batista described 2026 as a year of solidification for Live Poker, with the club establishing its market position through a premium, nearly unmatched experience. “I want to believe that this year we are about 30, 35% above what we planned. It’s just success,” he said. He characterized the venue as welcoming and family-friendly, where players feel comfortable.

The club’s growth trajectory suggests increasing demand for live poker in the Curitiba market, with organizers aiming to expand capacity as the club approaches its second anniversary. Batista noted that the team’s competence has been central to the operation’s performance.

The club’s focus on a premium, family-friendly environment may also appeal to players who prioritize comfort and atmosphere alongside competition.

Players considering future events in Curitiba can expect continued growth in field sizes and prize pools, with the club actively working to improve each stage. The reported 30-35% overperformance against projections suggests that the event is building momentum that could carry into 2027.
