Flight 1E saw German player “humbled” secure the chip lead with 1,073,000 chips. Close behind in flight 1F was fellow German Richard Gerhardt, who bagged 1,071,000 chips. Both players’ stacks now represent the overall lead heading into the next stages of the tournament. A total of 36 players have successfully advanced to Day 2, with the final showdown scheduled for Monday.
