The 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) continues with Brazilian players making notable progress in several key events. Bianka Abade is leading a group of Brazilians into Day 2 of the Event #43 US$ 800 8-handed Deepstack, while Nilson Pascoal has secured a spot on Day 3 of the highly popular US$ 500 Colossus.

Deepstack Day 2 Push

The Event #43 US$ 800 8-handed Deepstack saw strong participation, attracting 3,903 entries. As play concluded on Sunday, 230 players remained, with three Brazilians among them. Bianka Abade emerged as the chip leader for the Brazilian contingent, bagging 545,000 chips, which translates to 18 big blinds for the start of Day 2.

Close behind Abade is Sérgio Vigano, who finished with 515,000 chips. Rodrigo Sousa rounds out the Brazilian representatives in this event, ending the day with 400,000 chips, just over 13 big blinds. The overall chip leader for the Deepstack event is American player Allen Chang, who holds a commanding 2,300,000 chips. Day 2 of Event #43 is scheduled to commence on Monday at 11 a.m., with all players who have advanced guaranteed a minimum payout of US$ 2,297. The eventual champion will take home US$ 318,556 and a coveted WSOP bracelet. Blinds will resume at 15,000 / 30,000.

Colossus Day 3 Advancement

In the US$ 500 Colossus, Brazilian player Nilson Pascoal successfully advanced to Day 3. Pascoal will return with 1,700,000 chips. He joins fellow Brazilians Thiago Machado (3,900,000 chips), Leonardo Santana (3,600,000 chips), and Paulo Gini (600,000 chips) who are also still in contention. Day 3 of the Colossus is also set to begin on Monday at 11 a.m., with blinds starting at 60,000 / 120,000.

Other Notable Performances

The WSOP action also saw other Brazilian players achieve significant results. Léo Rizzo made a memorable entrance into Event #43, the US$ 800 NLH Deepstack, by achieving a straight flush on his first hand and winning a substantial pot. Rizzo’s play included a skillful sequence of betting and raising that left his opponent drawing dead on the turn.

In a separate event at the Aria Poker Classic, Fábio Porcino secured a significant payday, reportedly around US$ 80,000, after a deal was struck in a US$ 1,600 tournament. Porcino, who had recently arrived in Las Vegas, was second in chips at the time of the agreement, making the deal a successful strategy for his summer campaign. This result occurred on the same day that Yuri Dzivielevski secured his sixth career WSOP bracelet in the US$ 100K High Roller, earning US$ 2,841,432. This prize is noted as the fifth-largest single tournament payout for a Brazilian player in live poker history.
