‘8octopush’ Seizes Chip Lead in Czech Poker Masters Main Event; Sanchez Wins in Prague

The King’s Resort in Rozvadov hosted Day 1B of the Czech Poker Masters (CPM) Main Event, with a German player known online as ‘8octopush’ taking the chip lead. Simultaneously, a separate event at King’s Casino Prague concluded with a victory for Danilo Andres Lepiz Sanchez.

CPM Main Event Day 1B

The €150 buy-in CPM Main Event boasts a guaranteed prize pool of €400,000. Day 1B at King’s Resort Rozvadov attracted 73 entries, adding to the 104 entries from Day 1A. This brings the total to 177 entries so far.

The tournament structure allows for multiple starting flights, with one in Prague and ten in Rozvadov, plus a “Flip and Go” option, offering twelve chances to qualify for Day 2. The top 15% of players from each starting day cash, with the top 10% advancing to Day 2 based on their chip stacks. A €300 minimum cash is paid out as an early payout on the King’s Card. A €1,150 chip leader bonus, awarded as King’s Main Event tickets, is also given to the player with the largest stack at the end of each regular starting day.

Eight players successfully advanced from Day 1B to Day 2. The German player ‘8octopush’ not only secured the daily chip leader bonus but also established the overall chip lead for the tournament.

Beginner’s Mystery Bounty in Prague

In the Czech capital, King’s Casino Prague hosted a Beginner’s Mystery Bounty tournament. The event drew 35 players, with an additional 16 re-entries. While the €5,000 guarantee was not met, the prize pool was distributed among the top seven finishers.

Danilo Andres Lepiz Sanchez, hailing from Costa Rica, emerged as the winner, taking home €1,343 for his efforts.
